Tokyo Motor Show in the past few years have been experiencing a severe decline in visitors due to the fact that youngsters in Japan are not interested in cars anymore. To let the visitors of Tokyo Motor Show understand the future of mobility more intuitively, we designed a interactive 24 meter diameter dome-shaped installation which is capable of hosting 300 visitors simultaneously. Usually at shows like this, various automobile makers are the ones talking about what the future mobility society would look like, however, this installation attempted to turn that other way around. The viewers of the installation are asked to answer simple questions about the future through the officla app of Tokyo Motor Show. Based on the responses, the app gives the viewers one of six possible future directions. Within the installation, the viewers will experience all of the six possible future demonstrations and also a collective gathering of what the other viewers are hoping for in the future. The installation is not a passive means of understanding the future, but also functions as a system which collectively displays the desired future as a whole, making the process of understanding the future in a more active manner. The installation had over 50,000 people experience the future.
